The Children's Eye Clinic, PC Optical Shop is able to fit and provide glasses to children of all ages.  We even keep adult frames in stock for parents who may want to obtain glasses through our clinic.  In this case, we can also make arrangements with a parent to come in at a time to meet with one of our frame representatives who can provide a more extensive choice of frames.

It typically takes around a week to obtain glasses through our optical dispensary.  However, as we use a local lens laboratory, we may be able to expedite the glasses fabrication when necessary for next day pickup.

If your child is very dependent on their glasses, you may want to consider our second pair discount as repair or replacement of glasses cannot always occur on the same day or the next day.  Please see the OFFICE POLICY ON FRAMES AND LENSES section of the website for further details.

Our Optical Shop has the most extensive inventory of frames for young children in the Des Moines area.  Our optician also has extensive experience in fitting children for glasses.  We realize, however, that many patients may wish to purchase their glasses elsewhere depending on where they live or depending on Vision Insurance coverage issues.  You will always be provided with a copy of your child's glasses prescription after their yearly examination, which may be used wherever you wish to purchase glasses.
